Salvation Army Canned
Food Drive
Once again, Little River is participating, along with many other Durham Public Schools, in the Salvation Army’s Annual Canned Food Drive. The drive will run through December 14th and two barrels have been placed in our hallways where donations can be dropped off. We appreciate anything our families can do to support this effort.

Capri Sun Fundraiser
The Yearbook Committee is collecting Capri Sun Pouches as a fundraiser. They upcycle the drink pouches into cool fashion bags, totes, pencil cases, homework folders and more. You can find them at Wal Mart, Target, K .Mart and Home Depot. We are asking Little River Families who use the Capri Sun product to recycle their pouches with us. There will be a box at the front of the cafeteria for recycling. Thanks in advance for your assistance with this endeavor.

Little River Elementary School is located at 2315 Snow Hill Road, Durham, NC 27712. We are located in Northern Durham County next door to Durham Technical Community College (North Campus). We serve 670 students in grades K-5 and follow the traditional school calendar.

First grade students will go on a field trip to Duke Homestead on Thursday, December 3, 2009. They will leave at 9:30 a.m. and return around 1:30 p.m.
